A significant landslide has closed the E45 highway just north of Lilla Edet, following heavy rainfall in the area.

Witnesses reported that the road lifted and bubbled up due to the intense downpour, leading to water accumulation and stranding between 20 and 30 vehicles.

Emergency services, including the fire department and police, are on-site assessing the damage and assisting stranded motorists.

Traffic is being redirected, and both the E45 and nearby road 2014 are expected to remain closed for several days.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries, but the situation remains critical as further rain is anticipated.

Authorities are urging drivers to seek alternative routes while they work to clear the area and evaluate the extent of the damage.
