Two Swedish citizens have recently been detained in Iran.
The most recent case involves a Swedish man in his 60s arrested without clear reason.
Another case involves a 20-year-old man suspected of involvement in a murder and serious weapons offence, apprehended following an international arrest warrant issued by Swedish prosecutors.
These arrests add to the existing cases of EU official Johan Floderus and researcher Ahmadreza Djalali, both accused of espionage and currently imprisoned in Iran.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry has summoned Iran's chargé d'affaires, emphasizing the importance of granting consular access to detained citizens and their immediate release.
