Today at 11 AM, 280 employees from 26 healthcare centers in Östergötland went on strike, joining an ongoing healthcare conflict.
The strike, led by the Vårdförbundet union, demands a reduction in weekly working hours, a request that has not been met by employers.
The strike will severely impact patient services including phone consultations and appointment availability.
Minimal staffing has been agreed upon to handle emergencies.
The strike involves nurses, midwives, and radiographers, and has already affected the University Hospital in Linköping and four other regions in the country.
