Several Swedish regions have labeled an impending healthcare strike as "dangerous to society," drawing sharp criticism from healthcare workers like specialist nurse Johanna Nilsson.
Nilsson argues that standing up for better working conditions is crucial for patient care and that political leaders are out of touch with on-the-ground realities.
The strike, set to begin tomorrow, will affect about 2,000 healthcare workers across seven major hospitals, with the possibility of another 1,900 workers joining later.
The disagreement centers on demands for shorter working hours and sustainable schedules.
No resolution has been reached as both sides remain far apart in negotiations.
