Greta Thunberg, the renowned climate activist, was arrested in The Hague, Netherlands, during a climate protest.
Alongside other activists, Thunberg was taken away by local police in a bus after attempting to block a highway as part of a demonstration against subsidies for the fossil fuel industry.
The protest, organized by Extinction Rebellion, marked the 37th time the group has blocked the A12 motorway in their ongoing climate activism efforts.
This arrest follows Thunberg's recent participation in several demonstrations outside the Swedish Parliament, where she was also removed by police and suspected of disobedience to law enforcement.
