Former Minister of Environment Isabella Lövin (MP) has accused the government of misleading the public in its new marine environment proposal.
The proposal, presented by Climate and Environment Minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L) along with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and Rural Affairs Minister Peter Kullgren (KD), aims to shift the trawling boundary in the Baltic Sea from four to twelve nautical miles and ban bottom trawling in protected areas.
Lövin, however, claims the proposal lacks concrete measures and contains vague language, undermining its efficacy.
The government asserts that preliminary steps have already started to implement the changes.
Lövin seeks clarity on the government's true intentions.
