Götene municipality in Skaraborg is offering around 30 plots of land at the bargain price of one krona per square meter to attract new residents.
The campaign aims to rejuvenate the aging population by bringing in young families, especially those of working age.
So far, three plots have been sold, with two located in the small town of Hällekis.
The local government sees this as a great way to boost housing development and rejuvenate the community.
