In August 2022, approximately 60 speed cameras were stolen in the Stockholm and Uppsala regions of Sweden, leading to the recent indictment of seven individuals.
The group, comprising six men and one woman, faces charges for extensive thefts, including 23 counts of aggravated theft.
The thefts, deemed systematic by prosecutors, were uncovered in late October 2022 when several suspects were arrested, including a man in Riala found with a cache of stolen cameras.
Despite the serious nature of the allegations, all accused parties have pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
