Thick fog has caused major disruptions to air travel across the UK during one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.

Flights at Gatwick and Heathrow airports faced delays of up to four hours on Friday, with issues continuing into Saturday.

Visibility in some areas dropped to just 100 meters, according to the Met Office.

Travelers are advised to expect longer journey times, and drivers are urged to exercise caution.

The weather is expected to clear by Sunday.
