High water levels in the Bure River are causing problems for residents of Östra Hjoggböle in Skellefteå municipality.

Per-Uno Berggren can no longer drive to his house and must wade through water or take a detour across fields.

Several roads and bridges in the area are also affected, including the road between Dajkanvik and Storsele in Vilhelmina municipality.

The public is advised to stay away from flowing water and unstable banks as a precaution.

The SMHI has issued an orange warning for high flows in Bodträskån in Norrbotten and eastern Västerbotten.
