A fire at LKAB's mining facility in Svappavaara has been extinguished, police report.
The blaze started on the roof of a pellet plant above ground just before 6 PM on Friday.
Initially, information was scarce, but all personnel were evacuated safely without exposure to smoke, according to LKAB spokesperson Per Juntti.
By 7:30 PM, the fire was out, and firefighters were conducting checks to ensure there were no remaining risks.
The extent of the damage to the building remains unclear.
