A devastating house fire broke out in Degerfors on Tuesday afternoon, claiming one life and sending another person to the hospital.

Emergency services arrived at the scene around 2 PM to find the single-story villa fully engulfed in flames.

Despite the efforts of six fire units, the blaze spread to the attic, prolonging the firefighting operation.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown, but relatives have been informed.

Police and ambulances were also present, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
