A powerful explosion rocked Sundbyberg, a suburb north of Stockholm, in the early hours of Friday, causing extensive damage to a multi-family house and nearby parked cars.
The blast, which occurred shortly after 2 AM, was heard across large parts of Stockholm and prompted a significant police and emergency response.
Although no injuries have been reported, the explosion resulted in shattered windows, damaged balconies, and debris scattered around the impacted area.
A man known as Alfred Wennberg, linked to the Foxtrot network and previously convicted as a bomb maker, is registered at the address.
The incident is currently being investigated as an act of gross public destruction, with a focus on potential gang connections.
The residents of the building were not required to evacuate, and police have been conducting door-to-door inquiries as well as reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
