Today, nearly 80,000 Swedes are taking the university entrance exam, yet the testing is limited to only five locations in Norrbotten, resulting in lengthy travel for many.
This situation has sparked concerns over the added costs and potential impact on performance.
Marie Kuoljok, an adult education manager at Lapplands Lärcentra, highlights the financial burden and possible decrease in test results due to travel stress.
Meanwhile, Jennie Hägg Vilhelmsson, involved in organizing the test at Luleå Technical University, suggests that solutions to alleviate these issues could be found.
With 78,338 individuals registered for the exam, which also assesses word knowledge, the logistical challenges in Norrbotten have become a pressing issue.
