After spending 790 days imprisoned in Iran, including over 250 in solitary confinement, European Union official Johan Floderus has returned to Sweden.
Floderus was detained at Tehran International Airport in April 2022 for alleged espionage and faced the threat of the death penalty.
He found strength during his time in isolation, trying to find meaning and purpose in his daily life.
His release came as part of a contentious prisoner exchange, which sparked both relief and criticism.
Floderus is now attempting to rebuild his life with support from his family and friends.
