Published: 2024-05-22

Early voting for the EU elections has started on the island of Gotland, Sweden.

At 10:00 AM, the Almedal Library in Visby opened its doors to a queue of eager voters.

Nils-Tore Krusenblad, one of the first in line, mentioned he was voting early due to travel plans on election day.

Early voting is available from May 22 to June 9, requiring voters to present their voting card and an ID.

At least one early voting location per municipality will remain open on election day.
