The Swedish Transport Administration has announced that a portion of the E4 Stockholm Bypass, known as Förbifart Stockholm, will open four years ahead of schedule.
A 3.5-kilometer stretch between Häggvik and Hjulsta will be accessible by autumn 2026, aimed at reducing travel time and alleviating congestion on surrounding roads.
The complete bypass, which connects Kungens Kurva in the south to Häggvik in the north, is set to fully open in 2030. Project manager Camilla Magnusson highlighted the economic and production benefits of the early opening.
