Traffic on the E45 highway near Lilla Edet has resumed following severe flooding that damaged the road over the weekend.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the southbound lane has reopened for traffic in both directions, although it is subject to speed restrictions.
The flooding caused significant damage, with water undermining the road and displacing insulation materials used in its construction.
While the southbound lane is now operational, the northbound lane remains closed for repairs, with no estimated reopening date available.
Authorities are urging drivers to seek alternative routes, such as the E6, until the situation stabilizes.
The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, and further inspections will determine the necessary repairs.
