In a series of diplomatic tensions, a drone dropped paint over the Russian embassy in Stockholm on Friday night, prompting a police investigation into vandalism.

The incident occurred just hours after Sweden's embassy in Moscow was vandalized by three men who threw bottles and sprayed paint on the premises.

Swedish police were alerted to the drone attack at 2:14 AM, but despite deploying a helicopter, no suspects were apprehended.

The paint landed on the embassy grounds, though its color remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the Swedish Foreign Ministry is in contact with the Moscow embassy and Russian authorities following the attack there.

The incidents have raised concerns about potential links between the two acts of vandalism, as tensions between the countries continue to simmer.
