Regional chief physicians have raised concerns over their exclusion from the risk analysis in the recent investigation of Ljungby's emergency department.

Pär Lindgren, a regional chief physician, highlighted the necessity of their expertise to assess patient safety, which was overlooked.

The investigation, released this week, suggests moving emergency services to Växjö and increasing specialized care in Ljungby.

However, critics argue that the facilities at Ljungby may not be suitable for the proposed changes.

Region Kronoberg has yet to respond to these criticisms.
