They argue that complications during childbirth can arise suddenly, putting the baby's life at risk.

Previously, mothers without known risks could choose home births with midwives.

However, doctors at Akademiska Hospital claim that social media trends influenced the decision, and there isn't enough scientific backing.

The political decision faces opposition due to concerns over safety.
