Diplomats from various countries have been accumulating parking fines in Sweden, with Azerbajdzjan leading the list for the most fines among embassies.
Last year, foreign embassies collectively received 831 parking fines, totaling 858,250 kronor, but only 135 of these were paid.
An Ethiopian diplomat's vehicle notably ended up abandoned on Stockholm's tram tracks, contributing to the ongoing issue of unpaid fines by diplomatic vehicles.
Despite Azerbajdzjan's embassy claiming to have settled all their fines, the Transport Authority has yet to confirm this.
The situation highlights the challenges in enforcing parking regulations on vehicles with diplomatic immunity.
