A young man in his 20s was fatally shot in Skärholmen, a district in the southern part of Stockholm, marking the city's first shooting death in four months.
The incident, which occurred on Friday evening, has prompted a substantial police response, including door-to-door inquiries and the examination of surveillance footage, as authorities launch a manhunt for the shooter(s).
Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud bangs, leading to a significant police presence and the area being cordoned off.
No arrests have been made so far, and while the police have begun a murder investigation, they have yet to confirm any connections to gang-related activity.
The victim's relatives have been notified of the tragic event.
