The Västra Götalandsregionen has decided to pause the implementation of the controversial Millennium journal system following widespread criticism.

The decision was announced during a press conference where officials, including region director Håkan Sandahl, apologized for the stress caused to healthcare staff.

The pause comes after feedback highlighted risks to patient safety and inadequate training for the new system.
