The Sweden Democrats' local board in Sölvesborg has resigned following a tumultuous period marked by internal conflicts and a disappointing EU election campaign.

Louise Erixon, a prominent party figure, has denied claims that her leadership style was the cause of the resignations, attributing the upheaval instead to the board's failure in managing the election campaign.

Erixon criticized the lack of campaign activities, such as distributing flyers and organizing events, which she believes led to the election failure.

Despite the chaos, Erixon expressed willingness to join the new board, emphasizing the importance of accepting criticism within the party.

The party's district leadership will temporarily oversee the board's duties until a new board is elected.
