A boy under 15 years old has been detained on suspicion of attempted murder after another boy of the same age was found injured, presumably by a stabbing, in Märsta, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden.

The incident took place near the Märsta railway station.

The injured boy, who was conscious and able to speak, was airlifted to a hospital.

The police have initiated an investigation into the attempted murder.

Both boys were known to each other prior to this incident.
