A suspected dangerous object was discovered near a walking path by Mandolingatan in Frölunda, Gothenburg, leading to a significant police operation.
The object, described as a can with unknown contents and what appeared to be a fuse wire protruding, prompted police to cordon off a 100-meter area and order nearby Frölundaskolan to keep students indoors.
The National Bomb Squad was deployed, assessing the object as sharp but successfully disarming it on-site.
No injuries were reported, although the incident caused notable disruption, with residents describing the area as unusually quiet and access to Frölunda Torg significantly hindered.
This event is part of a worrying trend of suspected dangerous objects being found in Gothenburg, some linked to gang conflicts.
