In the early hours of Monday, a gas cylinder ignited outside a multi-family residence in southern Uddevalla, prompting the evacuation of several apartments.
The fire, which broke out around 3:30 AM, was reportedly started deliberately by an unknown individual.
It quickly spread to a building's entrance but was extinguished by the fire service before causing significant structural damage.
Police are investigating the incident as arson, but no injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made.
The area has been cordoned off as authorities continue to interview witnesses.
