Another workplace accident occurred at Northvolt's factory in Skellefteå on Sunday, resulting in two employees being hospitalized after exposure to electrolyte fumes.

One person experienced nausea, and the other had lighter symptoms, according to Northvolt's press chief Matti Kataja.

Northvolt has launched an internal investigation and promptly sanitized the affected individuals before medical help arrived.

Since 2019, at least 26 serious incidents have been reported at Northvolt's facilities, including two deaths and various severe injuries.

Authorities are also investigating the unexplained deaths of three employees found at home after their shifts.
