The annual licensed lynx hunt has concluded in the counties of Kronoberg and Kalmar, Sweden, with all assigned lynxes successfully hunted down.
In Kronoberg, eight lynxes, comprising four males, three females, and one young male, were hunted in areas around Växjö, Alvesta, Älmhult, and Tingsryd.
Meanwhile, Kalmar saw six male lynxes taken in the regions of Vimmerby, Högsby, Nybro, Mönsterås, and Kalmar.
Christine Godeau, a conservation officer for the Kronoberg County Administrative Board, assured that the hunt was conducted responsibly, with no reported injuries to the animals or hunting disturbances.
This marks the end of this year's regulated effort to manage the lynx population in these areas.
