A 66-year-old man has been charged with conducting a long-term, extensive mapping of sensitive military installations in Sweden, according to the Swedish Prosecution Authority.

The individual is accused of illegally handling a vast number of secret and sensitive documents related to numerous defense facilities, showcasing a level of systematic methodology and high expertise.

Senior prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist emphasized the severity of the crime, stating that the exposure of such information could jeopardize national security.
