A recent survey reveals that 27% of women who gave birth in Blekinge are unsure where to seek help for physical issues post-delivery.
Despite this, nine out of ten women feel secure with maternity care, and 96% would recommend it to others.
The head of the women’s healthcare unit in eastern Blekinge, Eva Enberg Mård, acknowledged the need for better information on postnatal support.
The survey, conducted by Sweden’s municipalities and regions, has been running since 2020.
