Spanish police have arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of distributing ISIS propaganda online.

The young man, a Spanish citizen, was apprehended in Barcelona on March 16, following a collaborative operation involving Spanish, French, and Swedish security agencies, including Europol.

According to reports, he had been in contact with four young men recently detained in Tyresö, near Stockholm, for connections to terror activities.

Two of the individuals in Tyresö are suspected of preparing for terrorist acts and possession of illegal firearms.

The arrested youth is accused of actively encouraging terrorism through the dissemination of jihadist material and information on making explosives, as well as discussing potential terror targets and exchanging terrorism manuals.
